The tailed beasts, sometimes referred to as "Chakra Monsters", are the nine titanic living forms of chakra created by the Sage of Six Paths out of the chakra from the Ten-Tails. They are differentiated by the number of tails they have, ranging from one to nine.

1. Shukaku( ONE TAIL )


Shukaku , more commonly known as the One-Tail, is one of the nine tailed beasts. It was last sealed within Gaara of Sunagakure, after being sealed in two other jinchΕ«riki before him.

2. Matatabi( TWO TAILS )


Matatabi, more commonly known as the Two-Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts.

3. Isobu( THREE TAILS )


Isobu, more commonly known as the Three-Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts.

4. Son Goku( FOUR TAILS )


Son GokΕ« is a very prideful tailed beast, as it detests being called by the name "Four-Tails" and boasts about its lineage. It uses "ore"  when referring to itself. It also hated humans, due to the fact that humans had enslaved it, and believes that apes are more intelligent than humans.

5. Kokuō( FIVE TAILS )


Kokuō, more commonly known as the Five-
Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts. It was last sealed within Han from Iwagakure.

6. Saiken( SIX TAILS )


Saiken, more commonly known as the Six-Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts. It was last sealed within Utakata of Kirigakure.

7. Chōmei( SEVEN TAILS )


Chōmei, more commonly known as the Seven-Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts.

8. GyΕ«ki( EIGHT TAILS )


GyΕ«ki, more commonly known as the Eight-Tails, is one of the nine tailed beasts. It has been in the possession of Kumogakure for decades, where it has been sealed into many jinchΕ«riki. Its most recent jinchΕ«riki, and the first to have any success in cooperating with it, is Killer B.

9. Kurama( NINE TAILS )


Kurama, more commonly known as the Nine-Tails, was one of the nine tailed beasts. Centuries of being regarded as a mindless monster and sought after as a tool for war caused Kurama to hate humans.

10. TEN TAILS


This Ten-Tails is the combined form of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and the God Tree, created to reclaim the chakra inherited by her sons, Hagoromo and Hamura. It is regarded as the progenitor of chakra, and is tied to the legend of the Sage of Six Paths and the birth of shinobi.
